In 2013 a congress the transparent chain was held in Utrecht organized by an initiative of the Epicurus foundation and the Trans National Institute. 

At this congess Richard Branson held a video-introduction advocating for a transparant chain of cannabis production. 

A recent develpment has been a grasspoll initiative by several cannabis consumer-organisations in collaboration with the dutch cannabis sector for a survey to give the consumer a voice in the debate on how to regulate the cannabis-sector.
